Allison Atwood
Where she played:
Wisconsin Juniors Club from age 12 until college. Joined D2 Truman State University.
Where she coached:
Texas Star Sports
Who she admires:
Her dad! He played in the minor leagues for the Cleveland Indians but opted out to start a family.
What she loves about TSV:
"I love that our main goal is uplifting the girls and teaching them to be confident in everything they are doing..."

Lana Cairns
Where she played:
All over, all throughout childhood and as young adult.
Where she coached:
Coaching for 8 years, 5 at middle schools and the past 3 with Texas Star Sports.
Who she admires:
First, Nolan Ryan. Nowadays she looks up to (literally) Shaq and Russell Wilson.
What she loves about TSV:
"I love watching them become mentally and physically tougher along with their development throughout their time with TSV."

Christine Duffy
Where she played:
In high-school, she played Varsity. College found her in club league.
Where she coached:
Both Episcopal of Dallas and Texas Star Sports since 2013.
Who she admires:
"I admire any femal athlete who pushes the limits of any sport they play AND are great role models."
What she loves about TSV:
"I love that TSV allows girls to have fun while learning how to play team sports."

Heather Dykes
Where she played:
Club, club, club, from middle school through high school.
Where she coached:
Quinla Middle School, Highland Park Middle School, Texas Star Sports
Who she admires:
Heather grew up loving Michael Jordan and Emmitt Smith. She wore Emmitt's # all through high-school.
What she loves about TSV:
"I love the relationships with other coaches and players. I enjoy getting to know them and building community."

Julianne Harper
Where she played:
Juliane played in middle school and then decided to focus on basketball and track.
Where she coached:
Been coaching volleyball for the past five years, the better part of it with Texas Star Sports.
Who she admires:
My high school basketball coach.
What she loves about TSV:
"It's a great, competitive environment where athletes are excited to sharpen their skills. The girls I work with are always excited to practice and play."

Lauren Henderson
Where she played:
School and club during her teens and then Southwestern University for college.
Where she coached:
With Texas Star Sports the past 2 years.
Who she admires:
Her first v-ball coach, Danny Phillips, made the game so much fun, it was infectious.
What she loves about TSV:
"I love coaching beginning players. They're excited and eager to learn. Plus we see so much progress and growth throughout the year."

Maya Lloyd
Where she played:
Maya played lots of places. USC, Highland Park High School, Skyline, Excel, Assault and Dallas Juniors!

Texas Star Sports and Club Cruz (in Santa Cruz, CA)

Taylor Lockett
Where she played:
Taylor started club in 9th grade and played varsity through high school. Then onto D1 at Duquesne and SMU.
Where she coached:
Minnesota Northern Lights Club, Skyline Juniors Club, and summer camps.
Who she admires:
Growing up in Minnesota made Taylor a huge fan UofM volleyball team fan. And, Destinee Hooker of course!
What she loves about TSV:
"It allows me to get more involved in the community and share my passion for the sport."

Steph McKinley
Where she played:
What has Steph not played?! A natural athlete. To this day she's dominating kickball and bocce.
Where she coached:
TSV. Plus middle school v-ball, b-ball, track at Carrolton ISD and HPISD. And assistant varsity soccer at Greenville and JV soccer at HPISD.
Who she admires:
Her high-schools track and b-ball coaches. They created an atmosphere that made you love the game and committed to growth.
What she loves about TSV:
"We founded the club to help girls learn and love the game. Plus encouragement to try anything and everything!

Becca Smart
Where she played:
From 7th grade through 12th grade, including 3 years on varsity.
Where she coached:
5th/6th grade community coach, College Station Middle School, 4th/5th/6th GSES teams coach.
Who she admires:
Growing up, Marion Jones and now, the Texas A&M women's basketball team. Go Aggies!
What she loves about TSV:
"I love the girls I coach because they have a drive to learn and improve their skills."

Savannah Vardell
Where she's played:
Started at 6 years old and played through high school.
Where's she coached:
Texas Star Sports, y'all!
Who she admires:
Savannah admired and still does to this day, the one and only Ivan Rodriquez (aka: Pudge).
What she loves about TSV:
"I love working with students and teaching new skills. Coaches and sports made such an impact for me growing up. I'm paying it forward."
